No time but now

To look closely at the skin of your hand or at the texture of the wallpaper or at the small pieces of dust on the keyboard of your computer: an essential resistance to the age, to the implicit imperative of speed and performance; to slow your pace and the movement of your eyes, to take your time on something, to deliberately stop where you feel forces on all sides telling you to move on: to say no without a word, and linger, not looking for anything, not wanting anything, or expecting anything, but content, satisfied enough by being and seeing where you are.
